Re: Fearsome Pirate Pete

My profile picture, actually. Which is Bikke, from the original Final Fantasy. With more nuance, what I mean is that this sprite was my inspiration and roughly how I imagined him, though obviously as a real, historical person, not as a videogame character or anything. But I certainly would be intere...

Re: FSM Anagram

ET, the Extra-Terrestrial >> tree, tree, trite astral haxs
(mostly I just liked getting the word "tree" in there almost three times)

I realize by making this about account names I'm either leaving myself wide open, or I'm totally impervious.

Re: Alternate Headgear to the Colander

Unfortunately The Gospel is categorized in the humor section of bookstores and I believe libraries if it's in any, not the religion section, so be prepared for them to counter with that.

Re: Alternate Headgear to the Colander

Here's my advice: consider what you would like the policy to be first, then figure out the headgear practice that would best help achieve that end, and then take the pedal off the contentious legal route for a while and just do the practice. Eventually, when it is time for a new photo ID, you'll hav...

Re: First day with my new religion

Also any tips for helping people to understand that mocking someones faith is wrong, even faith in the FSM? One thing to remember is that while no religion should be mocked with intent to harm, different religions do have different histories, and different relations to one another. FSM was founded ...

Re: United States of America

I've shipped up to Boston, as it were, so that's where I've been spending my days these days. Blazes, I wish I had known that earlier, I was just there a month ago. We could have shared a grog! :drinking: Kick me in the tooth! I am sorry about that, I should do a better job of saying hi here. Do yo...

Re: FSM and morality (A repost from my intro thread)

FSM is described as an omnipotent entity. He tampers with scientific results with his noodly appendages, which is truly an extraordinary power, and which also supports the claim that FSM is omnipotent. But in that case, why does FSM allow evil acts to occur, if he has the power to stop them? And su...

Re: Did you hear who died?

Hopefully this isn't too distasteful but I'm going to interpret the previous post as a response to PK's question. Will have to re-watch A Beautiful Mind, saw it when I was too wee to appreciate it, though I definitely remember key shots and scenes from it.

Not to my knowledge, that's just my take on things. It may very well echo sentiments in the Loose Canon, though.

Re: Offering my services

Hey Nancy! Glad to see you have the Pastafarian passion! Much yummier than our neighboring religions passions, I hear tell. Anywho... The most direct answer is that there really isn't that much work to do. The administrators here mostly deal with mundane spammers trying to get in here, and although ...

Posting here for archival purposes. Cyanide and Happiness can tend toward the NSFW, but this short is quite tame: http://explosm.net/comics/3693/

Re: What are you EATING right now?

Trader Joe's microwave-able Indian food. Specifically, Chicken Tikka Masala. This is the greatest comfort food ever and never gets old. Complete with Trader Joe's Naan, too, of course!
