It's green...

I think Jeremy Irons would be perfect for the Patrician, I can see John Cleese as Vimes, he's so good at the muttered aside. Emma Thompson gets my vote for Sybil. I like Judy Dench, but she's like Sean Connery, perfect for the role 15 years ago. How about Danny Devito as Nobby? Might be too old, but...

This is more of a memory than discussion. I've seen RHPS a few times but the first time was the best. It was a late showing at the Bayview St Cinema in Camden, Maine. The audience was nearly as entertaining as the movie. Most of them were true fans. Flying toast, dancing audience members, a Greek ch...

I don't have much trouble understanding most of the accents though I sometimes find some of the Yorkshire word usage obscure. The Reginald Hill mysteries with Andy Dalziel have helped though. I've always been a big fan of British tv. I know lots of people who just won't watch anything with a British...

So tell me how are you going to make your way in the world woman When you weren't cut out for working? When your fingers are slender and frail. How're you gonna get around In this sleazy bedroom town If you won't put yourself up for sale? Drugs and wine and flattering light you must try it again til...

Vimes and the Watch- love that copper brain of Vimes. Patrician for the politics- always love to read historical accounts of 'diplomacy' like his. I keep reading Nightwatch- so well constructed. Favourite pun- 'Who do you want to be remembered as the greatist horn player- you orsome felonious monk?...
