Re: Is it Piracy? Political goals of FSMism: opinions, pleas

I've had my doubts in the past about whether the wearing of a colander in photos was really equivalent to the religious garb of other faiths. After all, members of other religions wear their headwear all the time, so could legitimately claim that it is a facet of their identity. If we wore colanders...

Re: Is it Piracy? Political goals of FSMism: opinions, pleas

Holding a mirror up to religion, challenging definitions, and simply making things awkward for authorities to give special rights to religious groups are the things I appreciate most about Pastafarianism. If we can make it impossible for the law to define a religion in a way that doesn't look ludicr...

Re: Vale Pieces o Nine

When reading through forums for the first time, certain members soon stand out for their wit and generosity and the affection with which they're regarded by other members. Pieces was such a one on this forum. My thoughts are with her family and all who knew her.

Re: CURRENT Television

I don't watch much TV, but I am a fan of Sherlock . Did anyone watch the new series? I enjoyed it, but in a three episode series, really at least one episode should be on concept. I found myself at the end longing for an episode where they just get an ordinary case and follow it from beginning to en...

Re: The Your Banned Game

I've known forums where Star Wars vs Star Trek debates were actually banned as they'd become such a problem. ^ You're banned for trying to make this one of them.

Re: UK: Pastafarianism as a religion

This is how groups such as the Humanists, Hindus etc c...

Re: UK: Pastafarianism as a religion

From reading a recent article about the Scientology case, I gather that, in the UK, a secular marriage ceremony can occur just about anywhere, but a religious ceremony must be held in a place of worship, which is why it was so essential for this couple to have Scientology's status as a religion reco...

Good luck, TDKs! Are you the first in Britain to try to get our religion officially recognised in such a way?
