Re: The Video Games Thread
I have been playing a childhood game that I have always enjoyed, http://www.rsclegacy.com/. It isn't for anyone, in fact if you haven't played it when you were younger you probably won't enjoy it to be honest.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Damn my ADHD. I'm currently trying to read The God Delusion, some book on tea, and Kim by Rudyard Kipling. It's not working.

Re: The Video Games Thread
Just had an overwhelming urge to dig out NWN1. Oh, the memories... I played that game for. ev. er. It was like the top game my old pc could run, and I had friends on a persistent world. we used to work out these crazy builds to raid other servers, take these full teams of various builds and add one...

Re: The Video Games Thread
Alright, finally found a mod I want for Europa Universalis III. It's one that combines all the good ones :fsm_rock: On that subject, why aren't there more historical games? I don't mean, say, WWII shooters. Had about enough, thankee. But I mean, games set in interesting times that make some effort t...

Re: What's The Last Movie You Saw?
Jurassic Park for the umpteenth millionth time. My favorite movie when I was 6, my favorite movie now. You know, when I was 6, I wanted to be a Paleontologist because of the movie. Now, I'm a Biology major, seriously considering Paleontology as a grad program. Funny how things turn out. *Gets ever-s...

Not bad, not bad. Personally, I preferred American Gods, but that's me. Neverwhere was good, but it didn't stick with me.

Reader's Digest compilation of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes." Funny how all these modern adaptations get him so unbelievably wrong.

Re: The Video Games Thread
I remember enjoying Yoshi's Story as well, but it's been ages since I've played it. I remember it was very pretty, with lovely music, which go a long way in making me like a game, although my idea of "pretty" is not the conventional idea of "pretty video games". I like bright, v...

Working on my yearly playthrough of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Once you experience what PC games can be, the SNES is that much less impressive.

Re: The Video Games Thread
Interesting. I know far too little about the history of the period. I was always more interested in what was going on in Eurasia during that period (French Revolution, Rise of Prussia, The Jacobin Club, the East India Company, Napoleon) than the revolution. I'd LOVE to see an installment concerning ...

Re: The Video Games Thread
You know what I've noticed while playing Assassin's Creed III? Ubisoft's facial animations get worse in every installment, especially around the mouth. It was only Lucy in ACII, and even then, it wasn't too bad. ACIII? Every character, especially outside the Animus, looks like they're chewing ice. I...

Re: What's The Last Movie You Saw?
Same here. Never really pictured the bloke who married the Vicar of Dibley as Thorin... but oh well. Did a goodish job.
