Re: DIY Amateur Art and Literature Museum

Just dropping in with a horribly out of season art project.
(Deviant art is going to be my middleman today, because I need more page views.)

In the Ubi household, that's how we've always said his name.

Well, sometimes we say "pokeman" instead.

Re: The Last Post Thread, 2.0

I very much agree, give people the respect they deserve, if they refuse to give us some respect, then why should we respect them? For one thing, if people keep being nicey nicey no matter how a person acts, there's a possibility they might feel guilty and change their ways, but it's more likely that...

Re: The Video Games Thread

There's no way my computer will be able to handle portal 2, it can do the first, but this one, geez. Fluid simulators! Scripted events! Swinging vines! Eh, my friend has a PS3, maybe we could play it together.

Re: Funny stuff found on the intrawebs ver. 2.0

Oh boy, and I thought the issue had dropped. I think you are misunderstanding what I was upset about. It wasn't about men ogling women, they do that. It was about men ogling women who didn't want to be ogled, and men acting like women trying to prevent it were selfish. This webpage may be sexist, bu...

Woo, more let's plays*, and let's just say, WHAT THE HECK, FATAL FRAME DEVELOPERS? HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A HAPPY ENDING? (Of course they have, they're just not canon and they're only available on the X-Box.) *I don't know how familiar that term is, so I'll explain: A "let's play" is essen...

Granted, the coffee is frozen and the blocks are the size of mini vans.

Re: Funny stuff found on the intrawebs ver. 2.0

- When I first saw the original commercial, sans parody, my reaction was "They're trying to make women feel embarrassed and ashamed of their breasts." Perhaps it would be good to post the original cami-secret ad for comparison. I've seen the ad plenty of times, and thought it was a great ...

Re: Funny stuff found on the intrawebs ver. 2.0

For that matter, how exactly does showing cleavage remove power from women? Does presenting themselves as anything other than an asexual lump mean they're subjugating themselves to the patriarchy? It's not the showing cleavage in itself, it's that the woman might not want to. If she doesn't want dr...

Re: Funny stuff found on the intrawebs ver. 2.0

Right, because a bunch of internet guys are so much more qualified to comment on what women are allowed to find demeaning than an actual woman. I totally have no right to get offended or mad because guys find the prospect of women wanting to have power over our bodies is ridiculous. I'm not sure we ...
