I suppose being produced in a factory with some sort of pick-and-chose method of controlling what one gets doesn't objectify these people. Why so angry in the first place?

The difference being that I thought Reloaded and Revolutions were good, but did not go down the path Matrix did.

The second and third went on an entirely different track from the first. They were like the Matrix: just as good, but too different to fit properly.

7 ways not to make Top Ramen

So, Thursday night we had a power outage. I naturally assumed the worst, that it was a national disaster and I needed to make a shelter and get supplies. For supplies, I got a large number of packets of Top Ramen. Well, it was pitch black and my candle had run out, but I still decided that I needed ...

I have a fealling that that movie will become a standard 'English film' text for study in future (and the fact it has an R13 rating in NZ). there was a lot of little imagery things that one could endlessly over analyse I imagine you aren't refering to the language, but to Britain. While the comics ...

So I guess that also means we'll have to burn any pictures, movies, scultures, food items, or assorted parapharnalia that looks like any sort of sealife (and I'm only using that line). If a "no Idols" clause surprises you, you've never heard of Islam or the Jyllands-Posten Controversy.

I am unable to see the movie because I'm sure my dad will hear pundits talk about it on the radio and he'd find it offensive and anti-American and blah blah blah. However, I intend fully to buy the movie on DVD when it comes out or something and then hide it from him, because its a lot easier to go ...

I think A Midsummer Night's Dream was clearly a metaphor for the Flying Spaghetti Monster's involvement in the world. Oberon was the Flying Spaghetti Monster and Puck was His Noodly Appendage. Titania represented people who were unfaithful believers; she had upset the FSM by not wearing her pirate o...

Heh, no, I got my name from one of the Invisibles comic book story arcs, "Entropy in the UK." I don't understand that physics mumbo-jumbo (which has all been altered by His Noodly Appendage anyway), so I think about the less technical entropy, like the sixties. :D
