Soundgarden's Burden in my Hand . Fuckin' masterpiece, IMHO. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDRZtMkeRbY Ah, Soundgarden. The only band, of which I'm aware anyway, who have released a song to the radio which features a drag-quintuplet ("Pretty Noose", from the same album). Gahv

After devouring The Road , I purchased Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men . I read it in 1.5 days, which is the fastest I've ever read any book, as I recall. It's remarkable, especially, considering that I work full time *and* am in college full time. I recommend both books. Not sure what to r...

Hands down the worst movie I've ever seen was "It's Pat!" based upon the SNL sketch of same name. Horrible horrible movie. Horrible, awful movie, and one of the best bands of all time appears in it. I disagree with the notion that there could ever be one movie that is worse than all other...

I'm proud to say that a locally owned pizza store here in Boise, Flying Pie Pizzaria, has adjusted their letterboard to something like:

"Avast ye lubbers, there be just 1 day until talk like a pirate day!"

Primus sucks! Primus sucks! I have every studio album they've released...in fact, though this may date me, when I first bought Frizzle Fry and Sailing the Seas of Cheese, cds were still sold in "longboxes" (along side cassette tapes :P), and I clipped the art from my longboxes and tacked t...

I have played: EverQuest Dark Age of Camelot EverQuest 2 World of Warcraft ...though none obsessively. My wife plays WoW with me, which is fun (we only recently acquired a 2nd computer, further evidence of my non-obsession). Also, I have no problem paying for a game subscription. It's the same as re...

I had noticed the lack of a music forum here, and the surprising lack of a music thread. For a pirate tune (and brilliancy in general) I recommend Ween's clasic "The Blarney Stone," from their acclaimed album The Mollusk . If you chance the whole album, don't let the first song throw you. ...

Pfft.

I would like to extend St_JtB's grammar critique: DO YOU THINK FSM BELIVERS ARE IDIOTS???? Let me guess: your CAPS key was stuck, and they were having a sale at Question Mark Emporium. Yes I do they are all stupid. I note your lack of punctuation as evidence for your intellect, or at least your leve...

Books to add.

I have two good books to add for beginners at this site. 1. A Grammar Book for You and I (Oops, Me) by C. Edward Good. Language. Rating of 2.0. A short but thorough book on the rules of grammar and common grammar mistakes. An excellent read for those who've heard of the subjunctive case and the spli...

Teen Suspended for FSM belief?

I searhced the fora for a post on this subject exhaustively (read: for 30 seconds) and haven't found one anywhere. I'm not even sure which forum this subject should go under; I figured this one was as good as any. I heard a blurb on the radio this morning about an "upcoming story," for whi...
