A combination of approaches might be best: 1. Use statistics: :fsm_yarr: How do they explain the well established link between the decrease in the number of pirates and the increase in world temperature? 2. Use logic: :? Why don't your parents float off into the air if Hid Noodliness isn't there to ...

I think in my case it was the various pictures of the FSM I've seen. He has this look about him: as if having created the world, he's seen all the terrible things there (cancer, war, famine, frankfurters, etc.) and he's trying to sidle away, whistling tunelessly and thinking, "I didn't do it; n...

Holiday is what it is called Holiday is quite boring though. I suggest that we petition the spaghetti monster to get the name changed to something more enlightening. Pastamas seems to me an improvement - a celebration of the birth of pasta - but I'm sure the collective wit of the Pastafarian commun...

I guess there are a lot options:

Spaghettimas
Pastamas
Mithrasmas
Winter Solstice (Summer Solstice for those fond of kangaroos)
Turkey Harvest Festival
New Year's Rehearsal

What name would you like to give it?

Is it not bizarre how we are arguing evolution when in fact i am an adamant supporter of it? You have a funny way of showing it. So, the arguments I proposed about evolution and carbon dating -- whether I believe your opinions or not -- highlight that there is speculation. You can say that it is â€...

Artisan, when I said that very few scientists dispute evolution you gain nothing by pointing at one of those few. They do exist but, to my knowledge, they are all creationists. They twist science to support their own blind beliefs. I have encountered one such scientist myself and the lecture he (a g...

It sounds like a few things need clearing up: Evolution by natural selection is not a theory. It is a scientific fact in as much as any science can be said to be fact. The only theory left in the subject is the exact nature of the process - e.g. does change happen gradually or are long periods of ev...

The theory Earthrise describes is also discussed (briefly) in Dawkins' book. It really is a fascinating area for investigation and if you one day find yourself studying for a doctorate in something like anthropology or psychology you could find many worse areas for a thesis.

A1a. All religions, other than Pastafarianism, quote flawed arguments and inaccurate or misleading data all the time. It is only right that Pastafarians do the same. A1b. When a Christian (or Jew or Muslim, etc.) notices errors in their data they are normally keen to change it and hope nobody notice...

This, I believe, has to be the reason there are still so many Christians. They believe what the Bible tells them but none of them have actually READ it. The New Testament does indeed prohibit homosexuality in several places - try reading 1 Corinthians for a start; it's only a single verse but the me...

Thank you EarthRise, thank you St John; you have set my mind at rest. :) This Spaghetti Monster sounds like just the pastadeity I've been searching for. I can now look forward to a beer free afterlife. Is it too much for me to hope that the strippers will appear wearing my own personal choice of out...

I need your prayers . . .

Pastafarians, I have a serious problem and I may need your help. This problem first manifested itself when I was just 15 years old. Since then it has tried to turn my life into a living nightmare. I have read all the literature available and I've come no closer to finding a solution. I've visited se...

Greetings All.

If it looks like a spaghetti monster and flys like a spaghetti monster we have at least to consider the possibility that we have at least to consider the possibility we have a multi-appendaged pastadeity on our hands. :fsm: I have a very serious problem I need to put to you all. I must go now and se...
