Re: Proper salutation?

I actually ran into the salutation problem when I got married. Our (FSM and ULC ordained) officiant had to write a title when signing our marriage license. Eventually we settled on Rev. (name).

Re: offended by the term 'Wench'

My in-laws were offended by our wedding ceremony calling me a Wench. I told them that *I* wrote the damn ceremony

Re: My big fat Pastafarian wedding!

Lovely pictures of your wedding Terry. Congratulations. I agree with the other poster who said you should have gotten someone else to do the writing on the sheetcake. Any news on a baby pastafarian? ;) My husband's cousin picked up the cake and was on a time crunch, so unfortunately we couldn't get...

Re: My big fat Pastafarian wedding!

Fun Fact: Costco refused to write "Touched By His Noodly Appendage" on one of our sheet cakes. The guy in the bakery said it was "against his beliefs". So he wrote "Congratulations" instead. I wonder if the bakery guy thought "Touched By His Noodly Appendage" ...

My big fat Pastafarian wedding!

On August 11, 2012, my husband and I got married in a Pastafarian ceremony, conducted by an ordained Pastafarian minister (paid $20 for the certificate and everything!). After examining the laws of the state of Utah (where we live), it looks like a Pastafarian minister would be able to legally marry...

Re: Pastafarian Wedding

I'll let you know how it goes! It'll definitely be interesting. I'll have pictures and video too (professional photos, amateur video because we're poor college grads ;) ). Already we've gotten the following reactions: One distant relative came up to my fiance at the family reunion last month and ask...

Re: Pastafarian Wedding

Other than cake, we're having angel hair pasta with marinara sauce (we're afraid spaghetti might be too heavy a pasta, and we want people to stay and dance), a delicious cheesy potato casserole that they call "funeral potatoes" in Utah (since people cook them for funerals frequently here; ...

Re: Pastafarian Wedding

Thanks, Tedward, for letting me know about the Loose Canon! I'm a bit of a noob >.> My fiance, Brandon, and I have most of our wedding planned out. We've gotten our friend who's performing the wedding ordained in the FSM and the Universal Life Church. The groomsmen, brideswenches, and my fiance and ...

Re: Pastafarian Wedding

I'm going to have a Pastafarian wedding on August 11! We already got a friend of ours ordained in the FSM (and the ULC, just in case). This wedding is going to be awesome - we're getting married in Utah and my fiance's (very large) family is mostly devout Mormon, so I'm sure their reactions are goin...
