Re: Did you hear who died?

Robin Williams was found dead this afternoon at his home near Tiburon, California,

Say it can't be so! He also happens to be my age exactly. What a loss!
Worse yet, I too sometimes suffer from depression.

Re: Old time memories of food or .... "The Cellar".

I love it! Thank You! I am glad that some of those memories get passed on. Lee has gone on to her Catholic heaven and I have no idea where her husband will end up. Perhaps she will real him in after all. There was more to this story and it can be read at: http://sweetgeodes.com/senft/?page_id=2086 ...

Old time memories of food or .... "The Cellar".

I have always respected history and the travails that my parents and grandparents went through. I hope “The cellar” brings back a memory to at least one of my daughters as well as to you. Sometimes we need to retreat to safer and more pleasant memories. In the present turmoil I am so tempted to ret...

Re: Sports

I've always been completely underwhelmed by any sport - WTF is the point? Why can't we care about stuff that actually means something and benefits mankind as a whole? Most sports basically are substitutes for aggregation. Military deception, trickery, subterfuge, lying, blitz attacks and the like i...

Re: Hollanderts en de Vlaamse buren!

This is the reason I mostly just watch the highlights of the game. Actually, I am surprised that I can understand 'most' of the communications here, as I know German. More posts, be it in French, or other languages should be encouraged. Sorry, about my negativity towards one player on your team. It...

Fussball and Dutch floppers. You might want to read my post in sports. http://www.venganza.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13712&start=1410 I will re-post it as I have come to dislike the Netherlands team so much. Fussball, I have been totally underwhelmed by the World Cups. Brazil never impre...

Re: Sports

Fussball, I have been totally underwhelmed by the World Cups. Brazil never impressed me and the golden dive champion of the Europeans must be Arjen Robben. Aside from Ronaldo the Netherlands even out flopped the South Americans. He should get a Golden Dive award. After Costa Rica got killed off I w...

Re: Loose Canon Submissions - The Ritual Book

Cardinal Fang suggested that I post something I had written in response to his "creation story. I think the two should go together. I consider it to be early Gospel. (Genesis) I will post my version from my home site as I hope some of the links may survive. http://sweetgeodes.com/senft/?page_id...

Re: Baptismal certificates

I wonder about baptisimal rites. Doesn't infant baptism imply that you're forcing the decision on a child about being a member of a religion rather than giving them the choice? I favour what a lot of the non-conformist churches have, which is thanksgivings or services of dedication for an infant, w...

Re: What sports does the FSM and his children play?

Back to sports, Oh ya, my fridge also croaked, perhaps in sympathy. Some of these quarter final matches have been so BORING I would rather watch my beans simmer. Frances vs. Germany - I expected so much more. Neither belong in this tournament. Brazil vs. Columbia. I admit I have a TOTAL bias to Colu...
