Same. It's interesting. I was never that into the books. I got bored and wandered off towards the end of Game of Thrones. I might get into it more as a TV show.

Just got done watching Mongol . I can see the validity of some of the criticisms, such as mostly unchanging, one-dimensional characters, and how you can always predict how they will respond to any situation, but the fight scenes were ridiculously awesome, and I like the fact that it looked a little ...

That is an awesome version. I don't read a lick of Anglo-Saxon, but I enjoy perusing the A-S pages and seeing if I can find roots and similarities with the modern English. I'm teaching myself A-S, Lincoln-style!

I've had Neutral Milk Hotel's In an Aeroplane Over the Sea on repeat for about four days now. Someone suggest something better so I can stop listening to it!

THANKS! That should prove to be an interesting read, now that I understand some of the principles beyond "War is cool!"

I'll look through it. Maybe it'll grant me more ability in strategy games.

Napoleon did well while he was fighting battles. He was a master tactician. He could have used work as a strategist, which was evident long before Russia, in his Egyptian campaigns.
