perhaps rewrite a little bit of it to change the direct addressing of the original poster you're responding to in order to direct it to a more general audience Or just do what Paul does and directly reference them anyway, and give them enough context to be understood. He probably never intended for...

Re: The Video Games Thread

Played Diablo III, thought it was fun, but the story is just terrible. Now on to Borderlands 2, which is even more fun, and has quality writing. Well, we'll see how the over-arching storyline is, the original Borderlands was fairly unsatisfying, but at least in terms of the characters, the writing, ...

Nope. Just inching up to it. Perhaps there was a spambot of a similar name?

Also, who is our nemesis? I mean, god had the devil. The spaghetti monster has who? I'd like to know who to watch out for. :whip: Chef Boy-ar-dee or Atkins are popular choices for nemesis, as are any brand of Ninja. Check out the ancient scriptures of the Loose Canon for more stories with protagnoi...

Re: Did you hear who died?

I guess they're counting Puerto Rico and the Philippines (or wherever it is we own)? Or perhaps it's just a leak from an alternate universe where the United States either took over a bit more of North America, or fractured a bit more. Or did they just get confused about referneces to "Northern ...

He also enjoys a good wit, so if someone mocks him, just mock their deity back, or, if better joke can be made, join in and mock His Noodliness along with your acquaintance. One theory is that we were created to cure his cosmic boredom, so as long as the jokes are quality enough, He doesn't mind bei...

Re: What are you reading right now?

Finally getting through some of my Karen Armstrong books from Christmas. I've decided to go in chronological order, so I'm starting with A history of God . Only just in the first chapter, but that means it's been a lot about pre-christian, even pre-monotheist conceptions of God, gods, religion, etc....

Re: Watcha listenin' to?

I'm just investigating the first two albums right now, 'cause I like listening to debut albums, and the second has Paranoia and War Pigs. War Pigs is actually the reason I got it, I heard it on the radio (certainly not for the first time) and was just like "Damn, I need to get more of these guy...

Re: What's The Last Movie You Saw?

Spiderman - redux, again Amusing. Very nice use of freeze frames with classic spidey poses. I do want to see that one of these days. Heard a fair amount of nerd rage from some comic fans, but it looks like a lot of fun. Glad to hear about freeze frames, I like things like that and slomo in comic bo...
