On a different board, one of the admins suffered a small stroke and disappeared for a couple weeks. His doctor said that conversing in cyber could be good for his recovery, so he started posting. We thought he had started using L33t speak or something. Took a long time before his sentences started making sense. Looked a lot like: F u cn rd ths u mi hv n anrism

"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

"To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection." - Henri Poincaré

Posting here for archival purposes. Cyanide and Happiness can tend toward the NSFW, but this short is quite tame: http://explosm.net/comics/3693/

Any statistical increase in the usage of the :idiot: emoticon since becoming Admin should not be considered significant, meaningful, or otherwise cause for worry.

That's pretty cool CaptainLongPig. Kind of like FSM meets Close Encounters, or Blade Runner.

Well, Cardinal, if you ever need a double entendre...

I'll give you one.

I found a wiki that seems a little misguided on FSM rituals, http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Pastafarian_Rituals.

I fear we are all a little misguided.
Grand Deducer Watson of Sherlock. NoName, no pack drill. Astral zone changed five times a day (flexible). Great at manifesting parking spaces by thought control. Hatred of terminology of survivors and commitment to win-win reality.

I've found several Wiki's that are wrong. Casper the friendly ghost at one time was a WWII pilot that was gunned down. Clearly as anyone would know Casper is Richy Rich after ingesting too many gold poop pills.

Matthew Santoro did a top ten Most INCREDIBLE Archaeological Discoveries in History and mentions his Noodly Goodness at the 3:36 mark. This guy cracks me up!

Here be the linkage: http://youtu.be/QWH1sNUkeF0?t=3m36s

Admin / Mod note: moved from Odd Bits (as it's an FSM Sighting on the Internet, not a Science subject)
..and here I am, struggling to just get the urine IN the toilet. I cannot believe some of the stuff we have come up with out of necessity. Truly guided by His Noodly Appendage we are! In the interest of political science: http://dailynorthwestern.com/2015/11/19 ... mance-art/

You seen that yet CF?
The circumstances of the world are continually changing, and the opinions of men change also; and as government is for the living, and not for the dead, it is the living only that has any right in it. That which may be thought right and found convenient in one age, may be thought wrong and found inconvenient in another. In such cases, who is to decide, the living, or the dead? -Thomas Paine

Story in the "i" newspaper today (and it's online version) about a New Zealand Pastfarian called Karyn Martyn who has been awarded legal authority to marry Pastafarians. Interesting to note that Karen Martyn is calling herself a "Ministroni", I had always thought that the accepted title for a Pastafarian minister was either "Monister" or "Pasta", but I quite like "Ministroni". Maybe it's a personal choice about what people call themselves - seeing one of the central tenets of Pastafarianism is loose moral standards, can't see how there would be a right or wrong answer to title.
