Expansion into Africa

How many African countries have registered Pastafarians and how does the Church plan to gain official recognition in such conservative societies?

I can't really say there is such a thing as a "registered Pastafarian" (unless you count ordained ministers, but I can't find a list anywhere). There is no registration required to be a Pastafarian, only a declaration that one is a Pastafarian.

As for plans to gain official recognition, I haven't seen any of those either. Thus far, it's been "spread the religion and fight for your religious rights!" That's been proving somewhat successful -- if you check the front page of http://www.venganza.org/ and peruse the archives, you'll see articles of where we've been successful (or not). We are slowly taking up wind, and I have no doubt we'll eventually start gaining sail in Africa.

"The Church" isn't really a thing, World-wide. If you want to register with your country as a representative of The Church, I'm sure Bobby will give you a letter of good standing or whatever else you need.

Much like rich people became rich by taking stuff and calling it their own, and insisting that people take that seriously; churches become churches by calling themselves churches and insisting on being taken seriously. That's a bit of a stretch for a church that is overtly a parody religion, but the mechanism is the same. Insist that your religion is as valid as anyone else's, and you should be fine.

Unless you live in a theocracy. I wouldn't recommend looking for official recognition in a theocracy. Might end badly.
