A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died.
Hakuin answered, "How am I supposed to know?"
"How do you know? You're a Zen master?" exclaimed the samurai.
"Yes, but not a dead one," Hakuin answered.

Wow! Thats got to be the most seriously we've ever been taken! The newscasters didn't even crack a smile. Except for that one dude mentioning satire, the whole thing was completely serious.

Awesome!

I can't beleive they actually kept the story serious. there is a news producer over there that has some mighty big meatballs to actually make that clip.

Very cool.

The article only seemed to hint at the purpose of FSMism. Sure it did mention reason & stuff, but it failed to mention that Pastafarian reasoning deals with logical conjecture based on overwhelming observable evidence (to paraphrase Bobby) & seemed to imply that our reasoning involved belief in an invisible deity creating the universe--same as the fundies.

Unfortunately that is all you can hope for from the news. They do not take the time (have the time) to really do their homework, and I do believe that even bad press is good press....because people will search it on the web, and find the right info fairly quickly.

A few people I know came to me asking about Him after this aired locally. So it is getting a good response.
