The Stripper Firm (Jerusalem)

Postby Anonymist » Tue Feb 19, 2008 12:15 am

One for the hymn book, here's something to the tune of "Jerusalem," which will be familiar to most people from Britain or its former colonies. It can easily be modified to encompass other nationalities by replacing "England's" with "These(/this) our".

The Stripper Firm

And did his sauce in ancient time
Flow upon England’s mountain’s green?
And were the holy ones of God
In pirate vessels often seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon the midgit’s hills?
And was the stripper firm build’ed here,
Where evolution spreads its ills?

Bring me my flag, of skull and bones!
Bring me my cannons belching fire!
Bring me my chart! O! Part, cyclones!
Bring me my galleon so dire!
He will not cease from nood’ly flight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
‘Till we have built our stripper firm,
In England’s green and pleasant land.
Touched by his noodly appendage
