What are you DRINKNG right now?

Postby Roy Hunter » Wed Dec 09, 2015 7:26 pm

Two cocktails and a bottle of wine.

On a Wednesday.

Because f**k you. Don't judge me.

I survived today, you might not have.

Water. With my supper, at 11:30 PM. Because that's when I have time to eat, and I have to get up in six and a half hours to get ready go back to work.

Water as well, but because of what I drank last night... :drinking:

Water.

It seems that not only is alcohol a solution, alcohol is the only solution to the fugue state brought on by working in close proximity to a local authority and the NHS. The last time I attempted to work with the NHS I actually lost my sanity (such as it is) for about a year. Unless I can get a reboot switch installed in my head, I fear this will happen again. Perhaps I should go back to fitting kitchens for rich people again?

Ice water, with a spash of concord grape juice (just enough for a little flavor, but not sweetness).

I don't understand, Roy. Is something frustrating happening with you and Ceartas, or is it just something frustrating with you and your noggin?

Drinking water.

Carrot Buttermilk: Mix 3-4 parts homemade buttermilk (shaken) to 1 part Carrot Juice (shaken) ... shake together in a small jar, pour and serve.

It's actually quite good ... the sweetness of the carrot balances out the tang and phenols of the buttermilk, and also rounds out the nutritional value.

Something I came up with a few years ago, but which I'm sure already existed long before I'd thought of it.

There is a thread for this stuff, by the way.

Warm milk with clover honey mixed in. Tastes great, and a great substitue for the plain warm milk we grew up with :drinking:

A tiny pinch of salt helps balance the honey.

Just made a 1/2 gal pitcher of gunpowder green tea ... brew loose for 3 mins at 180F, strain, then paper filter for clarity.

Drinking it plain ... the only way to properly enjoy it (a little honey and lemon is a distant second).
