The new Doctor Who is Peter Capaldi. I now have this wonderful mental image of a Malcolm Tucker meets the Daleks moment

Re: CURRENT Television
The continuation of Breaking Bad has begun on Netflix now, and the first episode was great! Season five will be its last, and I cannot wait to find out what leads to the flash forwards.
This.

The second half of Season 5 is airing now in the States. It's really, really good.
Get your bake on.

Bad Education. I could understand good comedy with crap school life or crap comedy with good school life. Unfortunately, this seems to be a vehicle for Jack Whitehall to be an immature wally pretending to be a teacher while behaving like an arse.

Re: CURRENT Television
^Indeed, some of the latest comedy has not got anything like the bite of the old stuff. For example in a classic 'Black Adder III' episode last night I guffawed at the personification of the Duke of Wellington by Stephen Fry with such brilliant lines as:
"I would like to present you (the Prince Regent) with a fine cigarillo case emblazoned with the Regimental Motif of Two Dead Frenchmen crossed on a background of Dead Frenchmen."

Re: CURRENT Television
Man Down on channel 4. Honestly, the storyline is pretty weak and the supporting characters seem to have been shipped in from the random sit-com generator.
However, I'm finding it worth watching just for Rik Mayall's odd bits which have so far included waking people up with an air horn, playing swing ball with a dead rabbit and attacking people while dressed as a bear

Re: CURRENT Television
The Day of the Doctor was quite a good story, but what really made it was the interplay between the 3 doctors - all that gentle ribbing and needling. Brilliant

When they revealed the curator, I had a complete nerdgasm.
"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
It's kebab tv, I know it's full of crap and bad for me but I still quite enjoy it. Plus this year they have three 'celebrities' that I actually recognise from outside the programme.

Re: CURRENT Television
I got a season and a half into Elementary without recognizing the lead actor. Apparently I need to rewatch Hackers and Trainspotting.
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.
