Re: Earworms!
Summer days are like a magazine , a magazine .
Cutting grass for gasoline , for gasoline .
So I can see you soon.
Fall swoon left me drunk in a field .
Dandelion wine for a year .
So I packed up the dust of all that I owned .
Handkerchief hung from a pole .
I let out the day the apples fell.

The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

Re: Earworms!
Been reading over some old posts, trying to catch up a bit, and now thanks to Dukes' signature I actually have The Ballad of John and Yoko in my head! I don't mind all that much though, it is one of my favourites.
"There's a hell of a good universe next door, let's go!" e e cummings
"And the new day was a great big fish." Terry Pratchett
"WHAT CAN THE HARVEST HOPE FOR, IF NOT FOR THE CARE OF THE REAPER MAN?" Terry Pratchett (yes again, I'm afraid. He's my absolute favourite author)

Fanfare For The Common Man, Emerson Lake and Palmer.
Bugger off out of my head!

Re: Earworms!
I've associated "Love Reign O'er Me" with "The Long and Winding Road" ever since I was in the eighth grade, when I first started developing my own musical tastes. My first three albums were The Beatles 1, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and The Who's The Ultimate Collection, and the two songs sort of have a kinda similar sound to them maybe, so that's probably why.
Now I want to listen to "The Long and Winding Road".
I have "Unsupervised, I Hit My Head" by Mono Puff (a side project of John Flansburgh of TMBG) stuck in my head.
EDIT: Hm. I was considering listening to the entire Let It Be album, but I think I'll listen to 1 instead. I haven't done that in a long time. I'll make a playlist with the remastered versions from 2009 rather than listen to the actual 1 album though.

This Disco thing has gone too far. Last night I went to sleep and dreamt about Boogie Fund. I may need help... More help, that is...

A Girl Like You, Edwyn Collins.
Got to talking about celebrity illnesses and how we could use them in our work capacity to raise awareness. I was talking about Edwyn Collins' stroke / cerebral haemorrhage. This song appeared in my head. That was several hours ago.

Sometimes it's the Bowie version, sometimes it's Nirvana.
Sometimes it's Lulu.

Re: Earworms!
Surfing loudwire this week, found a list of "Rock Goddesses" then saw little Cindy-lou Who on the list...wth?
Turns out she's there for a reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHBxJCq99jA NSFW

I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.
