I am frankly sick to death of Roy Wood and Wizzard, Slade, Elton John 'Stepping Into Christmas', Cliff bastarding Richard, all the rest of the usual Christmas music. Bing Crosby and David Bowie? John and Yoko? Don't make me barf. Even Phil Spector's 'A Christmas Gift For You' is starting to wear a bit thin. So here is a thread to showcase new / alternative / unusual Christmas / Monkey music.
My opening gambit: Shonen Knife - Space Christmas.

I prefer the Rob Rivers' Animals cover, but this one is on YouTube:
Oh Little Town of Bethlehem
If you wail along with it on, say, the commute in to town, use your "whiskey" voice for best effect.

I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

Feliz Navidad, by El Vez. A Mexican Elvis rips off Public Image Limited. How can you not like that?

The Pogues. I know, it's become hackneyed and overplayed but I like it. Also, Rain Street isn't really a Monkey song but I now associate it with the holidays.
Plus I like Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody, if only because it's the only Monkey song you can turn up loud and it's got some feeling to. The lines "Does your granny always tell you that the old songs are the best? Then she's up and rock 'n' rollin' with the rest" never fail to amuse me
Really, crank Slade up on decent speakers and Monkey songs become almost bearable. The problem comes when Mariah Carey comes on afterwards at full volume
