Ooh, I want to see Burn After Reading.

I saw V for Vendetta the other day. Excellent. My favourite quote is near the start:
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
[giggles]
Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

And also the quote in my signature.
A flap of the wings yesterday means big changes tomorrow.
Let's work together to keep the present inevitable.

So yeah, I went and got a blog.

I watched most of the Two Towers last night with my mom, but I got a sudden craving for Dungeon Siege and wandered off. XD
Kaylee: Wash, tell me I'm pretty.
Wash: If I were unwed, I would take you up in a manly fashion.
Kaylee: 'Cause I'm pretty?
Wash: 'Cause your pretty.
(Wash and Kaylee, Firefly, Heart of Gold)

It's a broken hearts parade
And I'm putting my heart out on display
There's no masquerade
Just a funeral march for love today
The band strikes up and they're playing a song
Dressed in black, and we're singing along to the
Broken hearts parade
I've never been better then I am today

I didn't realise there was a book. I've been looking for the graphic novel for a while, but the only way I can get it is through a torrent, and Utorrent isn't installed on my current computer, and I have no desire to. Damn malware.

Just saw "Eagle Eyes" in the theatre. Thought it was pretty good. All you anti-military, anti-bugging, conspiracy theory people will like it. And actually it was good, lots of action. And though you boys probably think Shia LeBeouf is a jerk, I think he's a cutie.

American History X

Amazing movie... one of the best that I have ever seen. Few movies evoke a true emotional response from me, and I almost cried at the end (and I DON'T cry during movies).
May the glorious Flying Spaghetti Monster bathe you in his wondrous Mercy, Love, and Garlic Sauce!
May He bless MP3 Fiesta and their noodlicious music bargains!
May He also watch over Roffleopolis and touch it with his marvelous Noodly Appendages.

The graphic novel is still a book. I've got it in hardcover, picked it up a few years ago. I can't believe that you'd have a bookstore that wouldn't have it in the comics section.

Unfortunately, no comics section.

It's only a small Angus and Robertsons, so you don't expect much.

Oh, too bad. You can always go Amazon, if you must. It's worth it, believe me.

I saw Sex Drive last night. It was hysterical, just like Super Bad.

I recommend it to anybody who likes raunchy comedies like Waiting, Super Bad, etc.

I've ordered the Gospel of the FSM from my local bookshop, so perhaps when I have more money I'll order that one in as well. In fact, I definitely will.

Ontopic: I finally saw The Shawshank Redemption today. Now my favourite film. Unfortunately, when I recorded it onto our PVR, it skipped out the last five minutes or so, from when Red was talking to the parole board for the final time.

I saw the part after Red digs up the letter from Andy, but can anyone tell me what happened in between? I wanna know what he said, FSM damn it!

In his final meeting with the parole board, he doesnt try to claim that he is rehabilitated, he says "rehabilitated ... thats a made up word, so that people like you can wear a suit and have a job..." (or something along those lines). He goes on to say that he regrets what he was when he was younger, but that "this old man is all thats left" and tells the parole board chair to stamp the file, "and stop wasting my time".

I saw Quantum of Solace last night. It wasn't bad at all- I haven't seen Casino Royale, so this was my first taste of Daniel Craig as Bond, and I didn't think he was half-bad. My biggest problem with the movie was the camera flicked around so much during the chases that it not only lost that "sense of urgency" it seemed they were going for, but it was also hard as hell to figure out what was going on.
