The latest from Japanese culture:

Shakespearean plays are being translated in Japanese manga.

(I have to get my hands on one of these.)
[...] the difficulty of believing that a perfect and complex eye could be formed by natural selection, though insuperable by our imagination, should not be considered as subversive of the theory.

Wow, I don't know what to say. You can't improve on Shakespeare!

"In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards."

--Mark Twain

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

--Friedrich Nietzsche

"If it turns out that there is a God, I don't think that he's evil. But the worst that you can say about him is that basically he's an underachiever."

--Woody Allen

I really don't know if I like the idea of Shakespearean manga..
It's like a pop band covering a great classic rock song and destroying it with drum machines, techno beats and synthesizers..
I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they're not super-cute mangas, you know?
I fear it could strip the plays of their dignity, so to speak...
