Life is too short for getting all worked up over not having a job.

What about you?"

That's very good advice, stay clear of Friends reunited. I've got a friend like that but in his defence he has tried to get up off his arse and forge a career as a Stand Up Comedian...

Dedication. Why he would need rad proofing for a computer bug escapes me but it's still a lot of effort to go to.

The computer bug was going to make all of the nukes activate in their silos and well, you get the point.

In my experience he was right but instead of setting off loads of nukes, the Y2K bug set off loads and loads of fireworks...it was really scary...but at the same time quite pretty.

True story - I was part of the team that set off the millennium fireworks in Glasgow's George Square; and the only computer program I ever came across that was at all affected by The Millennium Bug™ was the rank, moth-eaten, flat-headed, swivel-eyed piece of ordure that we used to fire the show electronically. Ended up using portfires and blowtorches and such.

Life is too short to be so paranoid that you actually build a bomb shelter over something like that!
