And because she's so cute, here's a second one of her, yawning, like the demon-bitch she is.
I <3 her.

Yes, this is a cat--a sphynx kitten, to be more precise...

Molly. Adopted with 3 kittens nursing, she'd add an extra five kittens when a friend found a starving, abandoned liter.

Sebastian. Maine Coon, age 18. Adopted at age 13 when his owner passed away. The Landlady, owning about 10 cats at the time, couldn't take in the shaggy declawed mass, and I only had Socrates, at that time 6 lbs....

Socrates, with part of my blue Santa collection, when I moved to Buffalo, she was the ONLY cat I had.... she's now nearly 15 pounds. Socs is, perhaps, the cleverest cat I've ever known, and is NOT a TAME kitty.

When we adopted Molly, we had only Sebastian and Socrates. One of Molly's kittens was nearly identical to Socrates, from a spot on the left side of her nose to an assymetric blaze on her tuxedo face. The kitten liked to walk up to people and demand a belly rub nearly as soon as she could walk.
When Socrates, apparently in an act of kin selection, decided the black and white kitten was HERs, we realized we were going to keep her and name her Plato.
For the record, our black dutch rabbit is also Socrates'....it's complicated.

Lastly, we had Molly for a few days when we had a friend find an abandoned liter of kittens. The five kittens (three tigers, two brown one orange and black, a solid black and a solid gray) were being hand fed, and we had a lactating mother, so we figured we could try.
Molly, herself, was a sob story, underweight, and with three pellet-gun pellets under her skin, so allergic to fleas that we almost lost her to shock, and so scared of thunder she would pant. She didn't want to feed the kittens, which were smaller than her own, at first, but the largest of the underweight, skeletal kittens started howling (we'd been hand feeding them) and we came in to find her piled on top of eight kittens, feeding them and growling the whole time....she also would groom them....while growling. The largest adopted kitten, however, who was the same size as her own kittens, she decided was actually hers, and would feed him with her three when the kittens were too big to share.
We named the kitten Foucault, because he was a butt-licker, seemingly obsessed with grooming every cat in the house (except Socrates) and playing little dominance games with them.
He had to be hand fed many times, and still loves being held against breasts, even though he no longer is ever fed a bottle.
When he was 8 weeks old, after nearly starving to death, he developed an eye infection. This kitten, that I hand-reared, had to have his eye removed or face death.
EVERYONE told us to put him down. We spent the $700 to have his eye removed (the vet also neutered him, since he was under a general anesthetic anyways).
The cat, now nearly three, is the sweetest, strangest, gentlest kitty in the world, and has been a "spokescat" for animal rescue.
He also plucks flies out of the air as if he had two eyes...

"Does your cat look like Adolf Hitler? Do you wake up in a cold sweat every night wondering if he's going to up and invade Poland? Does he keep putting his right paw in the air while making a noise that sounds suspiciously like "Sieg Miaow"?"

May I present Adolf Kitler.
