I still think it's The Electrician. Hemlock Stones tossed him off the Dudley's zeppelin. He must have been masquerading as Boyle M. Owl, president of the Bowel Oil Company. When he stole the Zeppo Tube, he blew his cover.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Arrrrrgggghhhhhh. The hindenburg was just too obvious to go with when dealing with zeppelins. Damn you.

I just realized something cool.

I just necromancied this thread about a week ago. Since then we have added about 42 pages!

We more than doubled a two year old thread in a week!

I make celebrities look stupid and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown and make your champane bubble.

If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle?

97% of Harvard graduates can not answer this riddle, but 84% of kindergarten students were able to answer correctly in 6 minutes or less.

Full summary of the solution, for those who had lost track.

Two German spies boarded the Hindenburg, headed for New Jersey, in 1937. On the way, one discovers that the other was going to defect upon reaching America. The loyal Nazi steals the defector's ID, and shortly before arriving in New Jersey, throws him out the window. The defector dies.

The Hindenburg crashes, and the loyal Nazi is burned to a crisp. They are both listed as casualties of the disaster, so the authorities in New Jersey never associate the body on the beach with the name on the manifest.

Kudos to PG for solving the last bit, to Mad Willyum for sticking with it so long, and somebody much earlier (I think it was Bacon) for almost figuring out that he had been thrown off the Hindenburg. And whoever it was that guessed Zeppelin. I'm much too tired to go back and check now, so cookies all around.

Except for ET, who has been drinking, I think. Coffee for him.

Not sure of the answer, but I will say that I've seen that whole "X % of really smart people couldn't answer this, but X % of kindergartners answered it quickly" line attached to many riddles. It is always bullshit and the answer is usually god.

A picture?
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.
