In his signature, pg wrote:"Just as there is a thin line between correcting someone for clarification; and correcting someone publicly just to be a smug superior 'poopie head'. Sin. WoE." - WoE on the pointless proliferation of grammar nazification.
There should be an ellipses (...) between the leading quotation mark and the word "Just"
This, because the line, taken out of context, is confusing.
As you quote it, it seems to be the first part a declarative sentence by woe, without the conclusion.
Ellipses (...) would make it
clear that woe's quote was in response to an earlier criticism by another.
Of course, the original source was grammatically flawed to start with.
(woe should have used the correct form, "There is also a thin line...". Also, the use of a semicolon is completely inexplicable.)
My submission of this critique of your sig is intended for clarification only.
Putting an ellipses(...) in parenthesis after each use of the word ellipses(...),- (as though you needed a pictogram to help you identify one)- as well as the italic font in my above use of the word "clear" , were both purely for smug, superior poopy*-headedness.
*This is the accepted spelling for the word.
