I posted in the "Political Discussion" board before I got here. My bad. I'm Patrick, but my most common inter-webs alias is KimJongSick. I spend way too much time on the internet, but I manage to find time to screw around on the guitar and *somehow* make friends.

Welcome to both of you! It's good to see new pirates joining the crew - we always have room for more in our merry band.

Band, eh? Is there a guitarist slot open?

Er, I mean, be there a spot for me and me hearty six-stringed instrument?

I *knew* your location couldn't have been a coincidence. Glad to know I'm in good company here. I'm going to try going 3 for 3 and assume you also enjoy Cream and Jimi Hendrix?

I'm a big Hendrix fan, but Cap is too young to remember him. I'm an old guy, and she's not.

Cream is 1/3 Slow Hand (tho some would say 3/3). As far as I'm concerned, Clapton is God.

You're also gonna find a bunch of Pink Floyd fans here, but I'm more partial to Morrison and the Doors.

Excellent. Which is funny, considering I'm not even old enough to really remember when rap was born, even though it's pretty much taken over popular music.

I'm kind of back and forth on Hendrix . . . I like him, but for whatever reason, I rarely end up with him on my mp3 player.

But Disraeli Gears is one of the top 10 albums EVER.

Haha, my dad still has that one on the original vinyl. First pressing of it, too. Same deal with "Wheels of Fire".

(is there a classic rock thread on here? I'm going to have to participate heavily if there is)

Actually there was sorta one on the Snark board. It was more to do with who were the top 10 (or so...) rock guitar players of all time, and it get pretty eclectric (also electric).

[Edit - Actually it has been moved to Rant, Rave, and Misbehave]

If you were on a desert island with only one album - which would you choose?

My choice: Sgt. Pepper.
