I didnt post her passing because i refused ,for over a decade to acknowlege her or any program that would have her as a guest :( I was disgusted when i found out she has vocal , ardent admirers here in the city of the crack smoking mayor . It is beyond the limit of my comprehension.

Sorry, but everyone's noticed, we're all just too polite to say. It's not even a very good job. The toupee's the most convincing part.

"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

"To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection." - Henri Poincaré

I heard this today:

"What's a similarity between Nelson Mandela and Paul Walker?"

"They both died at 95."

(95 years old, 95 mph, or 95 kph might be more appropriate.)

It tuned out to be a hoax, but when I heard it on the radio, I nearly drove off the road from laughing too hard. Paris Hilton tweeted, upon learning of Mandela's death: "So sad he's gone. I really loved the I Have a Dream speech."

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.
