Too much, too young.

May you skank your way to that Beer Volcano in the sky!

Glad I got to catch a couple of the originals and a few new guys during their reunion tour a few years back.

I was lucky enough to see them at a Rock Against Racism gig in London in about 1978 - 1979 (I would have been 11 or 12), then again in Glasgow at the Apollo in the early '80s (I was far too young to get in, but it was the '80s, as long as I bought a ticket but I wasn't buying booze).

Immense live show, and the best crowd at a gig ever - so inclusive, so diverse, so energetic and so much dancing!

To be fair, compared to Keef he looked about 45. I have no idea how that is possible after his lifestyle :worship:

I have a couple of stories to tell about Motörhead from my roadie days. They're not suitable for broadcast under my real name, you'd need to meet me for a pint and a chat or something like that...

It's almost as if I'd said when I'd be up in Glesga and available. I was wandering around on Christmas Eve as well, we could have had a pint or three. I did see Firhill Stadium from the canal though :idiot:

Ziggy Stardust will never die.
Christ you know it ain't easy,
You know how hard it can be.
The way things are going
They're gonna crucify me.

I spotted you - you're the one playing the ukulele and singing.

I'm going to have to learn about six Bowie songs for next month's coffee house - we only do 3 songs each, but there will probably be a heap of Bowie on tap and I don't want to be repeating someone else's song.
"Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens."
("Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.")
-- Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805)
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
-- Philip K Dick

What happens when all the renewable energy runs out?
-- Victoria Ayling

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Dale Griffin, drummer with Mott The Hoople, 67, Alzheimer's Disease.

Glenn Frey, songwriter and guitarist with The Eagles, 67, Arthritis, Colitis, Pneumonia.

2016 pretty much sucks so far, musician-wise.
