Danny Kirwan, Fleetwood Mac guitarist, 68.

I kind-of knew him. He was a good guy, he paid me to do some work in his home studio once. I was out of contract, about to give up, but he was one of the good guys that give you hope in such a situation. I kept plugging away for another 6 months off the back of that.

Damn, 68 is young.

:( I saw that on Fleetwood Mac's FB page. I gave them my condolences. Irritatingly the profile admin had to make a post reminding readers that they would be blocked if they harassed the band about him, because they were. :furious:

I wrote a song yesterday, actually, as tribute to those our own community here has lost. It has lyrics and music although it'd need to be looked at by actual musicians to arrange, produce, and record it. I'm waiting on a friend's input as to how to share it without me messing stuff up copyright-wise (I'd like it to be recorded by my Clubhouse's band, Organized Chaos, and any proceeds to go to NAMI, or something along those lines), but so far she hasn't said anything. Unless you have any ideas, Roy? I mean obviously it's about our community and you are a recording artist, so I imagine you know about it too. I just don't want to accidentally do something that would render it public-domain or let someone else claim copyright or something foolish like that. I usually share my "music" publicly but this is a bit different.

D.J. Fontana, Elvis' drummer, 87.

How the hell did Elvis' drummer make it to 87?
