The 'Insult a Scotsman' Game.

This is where we confer honor on those who have earned the title of Prophet. Or, where we mock them. One or the other.

If there are no objections, I'll start a vote poll tomorrow night (if sober enough) for Roy with these options:

For Roy Hunter
Dances with sheep
Sasquatch Scotsman
Puppymaster
Kilt Happens
Thistle Muncher
Laugh_Roy_oag
"If it's no Scottish, it's CRAP!!"
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

This option, may I humbly suggest, would be greatly improved by closer spelling to the original "Laphroaig";
i.e. "Laugh_Roy_aig" replacing the syllables "Laph_ro_aig".

Even as ye say it, so shall it be.

Doesn't seem right as a title somehow :idiot:

Better psephologist than daftbeaker.

(That's called 'damning with faint praise' - a very subtle insult)

How about "not half as bad as Coldplay?"

That's what I like to call 'praising with faint damnation'.
"Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens."

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

-- Victoria Ayling

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Hey, Roy, drummer questions:

When I watch videos of drummers performing, it often looks like they're only playing half the strikes to me. I know hi-hats and bass drums typically have kick pedals, but is the same true of most of the rest of the kit too? That would possibly explain what I'm seeing; either that or my eyes just aren't fast enough.

Also, when you hit a drum, what is that called? Beat, note, strike, hit...?

Um... So you're saying when I watch Moon playing on the Smothers Brothers, when it looks like he's only playing half the strokes, he's actually just using one movement of his arm for two strokes and it's too fast for me to observe with an untrained eye?
