The Obvious Question

Postby buttlicking22 » Mon May 30, 2016 1:17 pm

What religion are you?

By default I know that you are Pastafarian.

But otherwise what religion are you?

Besides my dedication to the FSM I am a Satanist, in the tradition of the Church of Satan.

I am officially None Of The Above. My professional opinion is that all organized religions exist to increase their membership, and to separate their members from money in quantities as large as possible. I've never seen anything in the way of evidence that gives me any reason to believe in a "higher power" of any kind.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Pretty much what he ˄ said with the additional remark religions seek to maintain control over people - this is best attained by keeping the masses uneducated. Unhappily for many Christian denominations, the genie is largely out of the bottle but to date Islam has managed to keep its adherents in the dark.

I actually consider myself to be a true believer of Pastafarianism, though I don't exactly take all the "rules and rituals" too seriously. I practice at my own pace :zen:

A lot of people ask the wrong question: Why?
One philosophy college student answered this wrong question with the right answer: Why not?
Think about that . . . and maybe you'll come up with a way that was relevant.

In a different college, a Philosophy class was given a quiz with only one question on it: "What is courage?"
After about five seconds, one of the students stood up, handed their paper to the professor, and sat back down.
The paper was college ruled and contained only the student's name and two words: "This is"
See how that one was relevant? Keep thinking, you'll get there . . . maybe . . . :drunk:

WON'T YOU JUST FINISH THE SONG ALREADY???
Z!
There . . . you just kept saying Y over and over it . . . that felt so good, just to let it all out . . .
Seriously first one to figure out how those are relevant gets to post something equally puzzling.

I trust the professor applauded as the student returned to his seat.

THAT'S IT! :furious: I'm done! Let's play a game, Nef Yoo. It's called You're Banned. You're banned for spamming the word, "Why?". :nefyoobash:

And ET, although I don't know if the professor applauded the student's extraordinary breakthrough, I do know that they got one of the top grades.

Perhaps the applause was withheld due to the superfluous use of the word "is".
