All along ye Crow's Nest!
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

YArrrr...

Excellent news matey. The Drunken Mermaid has a slightly upmarket crowd, so doin a few gimmicks should set a few tongues waggin'.

We'll be 'avin a few warmups, at the Dribblin Parrot as well. YArrr...there might be few artists around these parts that will 'elp get yer poster happenin'. Bein' in a Boy Band, we's be lettin' the Rock Industry machine take care of all our promos.

Amenable (is that the ole Amenable?) welcome to Arggh-stock. Nine inch Peglegs is a fine act. We be pleased to have yer at the Fesitval.

I thought it would be nice to sing a romantic tune at the concert, this be a heartfelt plea to Brenda.

With thanks to James Blunt I give you ‘An Ode to Brenda’ entitled ‘You’re Horrible’

My life is horrible.
My love is false.
I saw a lady.
She is so coarse.
You smiled at me on me ship.
You was drinking all me grog.
But I’ll have bad dreams all night
'Cause you be an old dog.

You're horrible. You're horrible.
You're horrible, you are to.
I saw your face covered in warts,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause you made me eat Fish Head Stew.

You had me on the rack
And then you broke me back,
But you could see from me face that I was,
Not Cap’n Jack,
And I don't think that I'll walk again,
But we shared a moment that will haunt me till the end.

You're horrible. You're horrible.
You're horrible, you are to.
I saw your face covered in warts,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause you made me eat Fish Head Stew.
You're horrible. You're horrible.
You're horrible, you are to.

There must be a devil with a smirk on his face,
When he thought up that I should love you.
But it's time to face the truth,
You scare me, you do.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

That's awsome stuff there Norman Greenplank. Oi bet James Blunt wasn't thinkin of Brenda when he wrote the original.

Although come to think of it, he jumps into the ocean in that video clip - I wunder why?

Excellent work there matey. Although don't give our Plank (Norman Greenplank) a bigger ego than he's already got. We needs to share the wenches around yer know.

Will see yer at the warmup gig, matey. Let us know how yer perfomance at the Drunken Mermaid pans out.

Coz as Jar Jar Binks would say...'Weeza Gonna Rock!!'

Arrr...

Take the Lot have bin practicin' a new song. It be our version of Elvis Presley's famous song...

Return to Brenda

I wrote a letter to the brothel,
With my apologies.
After I was chucked out last night,
May I come back please?

She wrote upon it:
Return to Brenda, but have a wash.
Bring your crewmen, bring some dosh.
We'll have a party, and that's a fact,
I wrote I'm Sorry, now I'll soon be going back.

So then I went off to the barbers
To make me look classy.
Then I got another letter
From Madame Fifi

She wrote upon it:
Return to Brenda, that's what I'm saying.
She feels lonely, and the rent needs paying.
She needs a hugging, and you're the best
Your her one true love, if you discount all the rest.

Return to Brenda...
Return to Brenda...
(fadeout)
