More evidence, but frightening:

Postby SpaghettoVolante » Tue Dec 12, 2006 1:53 pm

This year, there were more pirates: Piracy on the rise, Jan 2006

This year, there was less global warming: Global warming slowing down, Nov 2006

So obviously Pastafarianism's rise has helped save the planet, but at the cost of some nasty pirates indeed.

Is there no way to win?

Speaking as a Pirate, and I believe I speak for all Pirates here, I do not think that those "modern pirates" with their PT boats and machine guns and RPGs are true pirates. I mean, there's not a single cutlass among them!

I believe Bobby himself has said the same at one point or another.

"In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards."

--Mark Twain

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

--Friedrich Nietzsche

"If it turns out that there is a God, I don't think that he's evil. But the worst that you can say about him is that basically he's an underachiever."

--Woody Allen

Being a pirate is just dangerous now-a-days - - - being a pirate, by international law, means that you are an enemy against humanity.

its only been illegal because fundies run the world and i guess some got mad at we pirates and outlawed being a pirate despite the kind hearted candy giving nature of pirates

P.S. sorry for the lack of pirate talk it's because of a shortage of grog

Well, it seems true...
But maybe the global warming's weakening is somehow connected to pastafarism and the fact people are getting more and more enlightened. Then maybe pastafarians who decide to become pirates are starting to have an effect on the environment.

I have always felt the best thing about pirates was their penchant for buggery. They did not resort to it due to their isolation at sea. They went to sea for the privacy to do it. I respect that. For the sea is the only free place on earth. Oh, how I love the sea.
