READ THIS NOW!!!!!
Please be aware, I don't care how many posts you have or how long you've been a member, of if you've never been in trouble here before.
SPAMMING IS AGAINST THE RULES FOR EVERYONE.
This includes inane posts to boost your post count, bumping old threads, spreading a link in multiple threads, or any other activity which contributes nothing substantive and serves only to disrupt the community.
I WILL PERSONALLY BAN ANYONE WHO DOES THIS SHIT. AND I WILL ENJOY IT!!!
In fact, I will enjoy it so much, you won't even get a warning, or a chance to redeem yourself. You'll just show up and find your account gone. And if you re-register under a new screen name, I'll ban you again.
So stop it, all of you have have done it, and any of you who were contemplating it for the future.

True terror lies in the futility of human existence.
Malcolm Reynolds is my co-pilot.
"The only freedom deserving the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest." - John Stuart Mill

Uh-oh...
That's some scary shit.
As everyone knows, most of my posts aren't very substantive.
Quite silly, actually.
Just keep repeating, "6.7 posts per day, 6.7 posts per day"....
Is there a loophole for "silly", as long as it's not overdone?
God, I hope so.
(otherwise I am SCREWED!)

You should confine it to the "Spam" threads, I think.

The thin line between genius and insanity is less of a border than a union.
"Science can purify religion from error and superstition; religion can purify science from idolatry and false absolutes. Each can draw the other into a wider world, a world in which both can flourish."
--Pope John Paul II
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

This isn't a complicated issue guys. We all know when we're posting for a reason and when we're spamming, which has always been against the rules that everyone has been asked to read before they ever make a post.
No one wants it to be an issue, and I don't expect it will be. This announcement is a response to a few recent incidents of pretty overboard spamming, to the point where it's impossible to make a case that someone wasn't completely disregarding the "no spamming" and "Make a substantive post" rules.
Clearly a reminder was needed, and that's what this is. Use your own discretionary judgement and you'll be fine. This is a case where you really have to go out of your way looking for trouble.

I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

A very timely reminder.

So yeah, I went and got a blog.
