Probably the best point the book made: Anybody that would create this world for whatever reasons (I'm a Satanist so I'm going to say Self Serving) is an egotistical maniac. Hence: The Creator is an egotistical maniac.
Also slightly incompetent.
But what does that say about his Noodlyness? Is His Holy Noodle perhaps offended by this? Is this yet another test of our faith???? Does he admit that he's an egotistical maniac?
Maybe He's a Satanist.....

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

The FSM is a creator. I don't think it's such a big deal to him. He's just doing his job. So there are flaws. So what? Everyone gets a little sloppy towards the end of the day every now and then. Who said we had to be perfect?

So, who here has ever made something that didn't turn out the way they wanted?
Yep. Happens to all of us, even his Noodlyness. I can just about guarantee that the concept of the Religious Right Wing Nutties (that are even threatening Bush, et al) was NOT on the agenda of ANY creator.
I welcome the idea of a Creator who screws up now and then. It certainly helps me understand how I could be created in His image. Also, judging by some of His work, our Noodly Creator must have a hell of a sense of humor.

I saw the heading and thought someone had started a conversation about me!

Best regards

Unlike other creators (none specified) FSM does not demand worship... some like to do so because pirating is fun and good cardio.
So, IMHO, not ego-maniacal, at least based on this evidence.

A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died.
Hakuin answered, "How am I supposed to know?"
"How do you know? You're a Zen master?" exclaimed the samurai.
"Yes, but not a dead one," Hakuin answered.
