Uh, yeah.
Some 5 or 6 or 7 billion years from now, the Sun will become a red giant star and will engulf the orbits of Mercury and Venus and probably the Earth. The Earth then would be inside the Sun, and some of the problems that face us on this particular day will appear, by comparison, modest. On the other hand, since it is 5,000 or more million years away, it is not our most pressing problem. It is, though, worth bearing in mind. It has theological implications. - Carl Sagan, Master of Understatement

You all owe me for the first one, cos you made me curious as to how bad it actually was.
The Scary Mary one I liked.
As for the 3rd one--I liked the prisoners doing the thriller dance vid better.
Anyone who hated the movie Flashdance as much as I did will probably like this Aussie beer ad.
And if that British Airways ad where all the people made that face impressed you, then you'll love this other beer ad by the same company.

Look Around you
'Machadaynu' was from an excellent UK comedy called "Look Around You" which was taking the p out of such TV programmes as "Tomorrows World" which I grew up with. Tomorrows World featured science, inventions and innovations of the future, hardly any of which ever made it into everyday life.
If you can find it, take a look at 'The Mighty Boosh' which is on our screens at the moment.

The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

Oh, c'mon, admit it...You've been humming "Machadaynu" in your head ever since...
Besides, it's better than anything on network television.
(not a raving praise, I'll admit, but still...)
Anyway, if literature is more to your liking, try this one.

This was one of the Tonight Show Headlines... Who the hell designed this candy dish where you reach into santa's pants to find the candy??
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

Hmm... Maybe it's just me who has a dead link, but it certainly seems that way.
Here's a little belated christmas gem.
