RAmen or Ramen?
What's the difference? I keep seeing both consistently...

Praise be to the Monster we all know and love. RAmen.
IMHO (in my hungry opinion), both are acceptable spellings. Bobby Henderson, on the Holy Website, spells this word thus (right beneath the sacred coffee mugs):
However, there are letters from others posted on the Website which spell it "Ramen." If this displeased the FSM or Bobby Henderson, I assume he would have corrected them.
For this reason I believe both are pleasing to the scrumptious one above.

Maybe it's R-Amen
Perhaps it's the traditional "Amen" with an "R" (the holy pirate sound) in front, eh?

But wouldn't a pirate actually say "Arrrrrrrrrmen?"
Still confused. (but not cornfused, as that's different, and slightly painful, as well as unsightly.) Need more pasta.

All praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in His infinite Savor. RAmen
I think you may have something here. It seems clear that the word "Amen" is simply a corruption of the Holy word "RAmen"/"Ramen," which I believe means "It shall be eaten" or "So eat it."
The ancient Egyptians may have misunderstood the beginning of the Holy word (RA/Ra) as the name of a god. Another important Egyptian god's name used the second half of the Holy word: Amon (also spelled Amen) . This explanation makes sense, that a combination of Ra and men refers to our Creator and humanity.
Of course it is possible that in prehistoric times, RA or RAmen may have been the original name for our Creator, The Flying Spaghetti Monster. This would explain how Ramen noodles received their Holy name.

It doesn't actually have anything to do with RA (egyptian god).
It's a parody of Amen of course, with raman being a type of pasta.
It's RAmen, and thus, when spelled Ramen, it's just mispelled. I wouldn't care about it if I were you though, but if you wanted to know, there's the answer.

I am a Flying Spaghetti Monsterian. My God has Noodly Appendage. The reduction in pirates is the cause of global warming. With the exception of this line, this happens to be my sig in all the forums I've registered to.
