Proper Citation of The Gospel of the FSM

Postby Archimedes Pastafariae » Thu May 01, 2008 10:58 pm

As a devotee of the Church of the FSM, I have read many posts that utilize allusion to the Gospel of the FSM (hallowed be its pages, may it bring pasta upon us forever).

Unlike other religions, especially those without our vast repository of scientific evidence, we have no standardized format for citing His word as revealed to His prophet.

I find this a bit unbecoming of such great religion.

Where other religions may cite holy writs also, the very act of citing them seems to add authority simply because of their citation format.

Citing "(Penguins ?:42)" is much more powerful than saying "page 40 of the Gospel of the FSM states..."

I hereby propose that the first Ecumenical Council of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster should be created to establish a proper standard.

Yes, I I vote that "Penguins" remain part of the proper citation.
