Waffles vs Pancakes
Choose wisely
If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere committing evil deeds, an it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

Well, they're both primarily syrup-and-butter delivery systems, so, I guess waffles hold more.
I invented a waffle iron which makes a 10-inch-thick waffle, with one enormous pock in the center, roughly the size and shape of a drinking glass.
It creates a wafle which holds 16 fl. oz. of butter/syrup.
I am currently modifying it, so that the waffle produced has a handle.(like a coffee mug.)
1. Drink sugar-fat.
2. eat cup.
3. repeat.
everybody wins.

Why dont they just blend all that fat and syrup it all into a smoothie and see if people will drink it...mmmmmmmmmm

Waffles are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than pancakes.
Have you ever tried eating a pancake without butter or syrup?!?
Waffles are easily superior.
But you know what is the BEST THING in the WORLD?
Replacing butter with peanut butter.
Or better
Using both. *Drowns in own drool*

There's a nice little cafe in my town that makes 20 different kinds of specialty waffles.
From strawberries, kiwi, bananas and icecream, to a breakfast "fryup" waffle with bacon, a fried egg, and cheese.
I plan on trying every variety in the next year.....in the name of scientific discovery of course

A light, fluffy, airy, buttermilk pancake can almost compete with a decent waffle.
But most pancakes are dense, soggy things that sit in your stomach like a waterlogged piece of pumice.

Re: Waffles vs Pancakes
I went Waffles, on general preference, but if you've ever had a good buckwheat or sourdough pancake, they can be worth the time.
Damn luchtime forum browsing. I wonder if there's a Waffle House nearby...

Re: Waffles vs Pancakes
waffles are good because you can hold stuff in them, like fresh strawberrys and whipped cream. but pancakes are good because you can put fruit INSIDE of them... like blueberries....

Not sure if you get them in the States - here in the UK we have potato waffles. Yum yum yum yum. Especially yum with a fried egg with a yolk you can dunk into.
Although for sweet, pancakes win every time.
