I've joined team FSM on Kiva today and lent $25 to a restaurant in Uganda (chosen at random). Looking to make a few more loans but there are so many projects to choose from - not sure which ones to pick.
Does anyone have a strategy for picking project? or do you just pick at random?
Which projects would the Noodly One pick?
All advice welcome.

We are all his Noodly Appendages, so whatever we choose, he chooses, and whatever he chooses, we choose.
Unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with Kiva and the projects one can donate to. I'm sure there aren't any bad ones though. I guess also.. a lot of money in one place is more helpful than it being sprinkled everywhere.

Glad to hear it Bonney.
I pay the RSPB and the WWT to do the same thing and pay the BTO to go count the beasties and critters (esp. the feathered ones). I do this cos I'm lazy and can't find me wellies.

This series looks at how a small amount of money, used cleverly, could transform the lives of the 1 billion people who currently live below the international poverty line.

Re: Joined team FSM on Kiva today
Got any doubloons to spare? We (Kiva Team Church of the FSM) are aiming at a Million for the Monster - - total loans of $1 million by 3-20-12. We're well on the way, and just need a little push.
If you are going WTF, see below....
If you have loans that have repaid so you have kiva credit, please top it up and loan it out! With just a little push, we can hit that million dollar loan mark.
If anyone is reading this, not familiar with kiva.org, it is a microlending site that fights poverty by small loans in third world countries. With $25 (added to others' contributions) you can fund a street vendor in vendor in Peru http://www.kiva.org/lend/387620 . I've funded cows for a somber farmer in Armenia http://www.kiva.org/lend/375746 and a beauty parlor in Mongolia http://www.kiva.org/lend/335059 . And as they repay, I can loan again!
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is on its way to becoming the highest microloaning religious congregation in the world! Yes, really!

is that enough to build the rocket?
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

Joined and gave $25 to Maria to restock her little shop in the Honduras.
I'll take it out of my lunch money and take sammiches to work instead :)
