So I was wondering what movies have the highest body counts, and I found a website where they count em.

I'm still shocked that none of the Rambo movies made the top 10.

Body Count
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

Re: Body Count
There is a corrollary to the body count in a movie: the Bullet Deadliness Quotient (BDQ, © Christopher Brookmyre, 2000). You can shoot 5,000 rounds at James Bond, and he won't get a crease in his suit: extremely low BDQ. You can shoot 500 rounds at Bruce Willis / John McLain, and you will only manage to hit him in the shoulder, and he'll still kick your ass: medium BDQ. Tim Roth got shot once in the guts in Reservior Dogs and it killed him slowly and horribly: high BDQ.

Re: Body Count
Also consider that Star Wars: Episode 4 and Titan AE probably have the highest body counts, just not on screen. Planets get blown up, man. That has to count for something.

Sounds similar to Stormtrooper Accuracy and Ninja Effectiveness. There is a finite amount of deadliness that can be spread over an infinite number of attackers. Where there is one ninja or a few stormtroopers they will be deadly. Where there is a Death Star or Endor of stormtroopers or several hundred ninjas they will be less than useless.

Have they made a film about Harold Shipman yet?

For Star Wars, that would be in excess of 2 billion sentients. I'm not even going to address the death star issue, which also has to count for something. Same goes for episode six. And since Titan AE happens in the future, and the planet getting destroyed is earth, I'm going to assume that earth still has billions of people, very probably more than there are on earth at the moment.

Battlestar Galactica has a pretty high body count...they never have much time for baking and reciting poetry on that show.

I always liked the stuff with stupidly low body counts too. In all the years I watched the G.I.Joe cartoon, hundreds of planes being shot out of the air and everyone ejected out to a parachute just in time. Cobra should have taken over the world just on the power of pure dumb luck.

The A team was like that wasn't it...lots of shooting but absolutely no blood.
