I used to share a flat with a guy who did architectural modelling, and modelling for movies and TV. He had a lot of bits and pieces of model kits, bits of plastic, interesting stuff he found in skips, and thousands of different paints. He got me interested in modelmaking for a while.
At the time I was into motorbikes, so I made a few bike models (including a rather spiffy 1:12 Harley Davidson / 1:24 Dennis Fire Tender trike), but unfortunately I lost them along with most of my possessions in the great 'unmedicated girlfriend with accelerant, matches and a grudge' incident of 1991.
