My name is [not] pieces o'nine and I am proud to have *never* read anything by Edward Bulwer-Lytton, despite picking up a "Complete Works" ages ago because of hilarious family motto spacing on the embossed covers.
If God is willing and the creeks don't rise, I *will* never read any of them.
Okay, I admit it! I haven't read this book.

I got through 11th without ever touching Hamlet. I'm at a loss for why, because apparently everyone is supposed to but it didn't come up at all in any of my classes.

I'm sure most teachers figure you'll be exposed to Shakespeare eventually, even if you don't realize it; you might be surprised at how many movies are based on Shakespeare's plays.
If you get a chance, you should definitely check out Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo diCaprio and Claire Danes. I thought it was very well done (and you don't find many films nowadays with teenage lovers that end up committing suicide).

...and Greasy Joan doth keel the pot...
not one of Shakespeare's better lines...but suitable for the Pirate board I feel.

LOL! First time I read this, I thought it said it *was* one of Shakespeare's better lines, and I was thinking bad thoughts about your taste in poetry!

It can't really be said that I have 'good taste' in poetry though...I like William McGonagall!

I'm sure that I've mentioned elsewhere that I have a copy of Godel, Escher, Bach that I've started several times but never gotten more than half-way through. Unfortunately, this is still the case.
