I know there is potato in it, but.. what is the Church of the FSM's view on it?
It tastes so good and I vowed not to feel guily for feeling good. But I'm just curious, is it OK to eat, or frowned upon?
Also great with pesto, you can even fry it, instead of cooking, it's like the poor-mans pasta for FSM's sake!

Everything is OK to eat, with one exception. The dry sandy "parmesan cheese" that comes in a can is blasphemy.
As for everything else, go for it. If it's remotely noodly or pasta-like in any way, claim it's pasta and that's good enough for a Holy Friday meal, washed down with your favorite grog.

Open your mind, but not so far your brain falls out

Chicken and Gnocci from the Olive Garden of Eden, always!
Re: Gnocchi, technically pasta?
Definitely. That's the beauty of pasta - you can make it with pretty much anything that can be turned into a flour.
I LOVE sweet cocoa in my pasta mix - it makes AWESOME ravioli when filled with sweet sauces. :D
