Re: Upcoming Films...
Thanks Roy, but I looked him and Outkast up after your post. I'm not a fan of their music particularly. I've accidentally heard several songs, and most turned me off completely. Hey Ya isn't bad, as a few of them aren't (for me), but their songs become more unlistenable for me the more their style changes.

Re: Upcoming Films...
It should be noted that Hey Ya! is, like everything else on that album, not quite an Outkast song. That was a double album, but in reality each CD was a solo album from the two members of Outkast (Big Boi and Andre 3000). There was only one track they did together on it.
Here's the thing: It made it blatantly obvious that Andre 3000 is the true talent of the group. Big Boi's side (Speakerboxxx) was just rather straightforward, predictable rap. Andre's side (The Love Below) was all around better, explored more musical territory, and produced more singles. It wouldn't surprise me if the stuff you found to not be so bad was off The Love Below.

Cockneys versus Zombies...worth watching the trailer.
Great bit when someone shouts "Lookout out there's loads of 'Trafalgar Squares' out there and then they have to work out the Cockney Rhyming Slang to get what he means.

Thanks for that, Qwerty. Now I have to wait two and a half months to see the film. I take it it's about people being reborn and interacting with the people they interacted with before, their past choices influencing their future. Or something like that.

Re: Upcoming Films...
The trailer for Cloud Atlas looks pretty intriguing, I just wonder how long it's going to take before it is released here in South Africa. I'm patiently waiting for On The Road, based on the Jack Kerouac novel of the same name, and who knows how long that one's still going to take! Oh, and I heard there is going to be a film version of Life of Pi. I think I'm going to refuse point-blank to watch it though, at least until someone reassures me that it's not a complete travesty.

Re: Upcoming Films...
Well, apparently it's directed by Ang Lee. Not sure which direction that means it'll go in...

I am looking forward to watching "Looper" a Sci Fi flick in the mold of Terminator and The Matrix. I am also excited about "Holy Motors" which is just plain weird but wonderful.

World War Z. Zombies. Brad Pitt. Partially filmed in Glasgow. Glasgow has lots of zombies, but having Brad Pitt in the city was unusual.

Meh, seems like the "oral history" aspect of the book that made it unique and entertaining has been completely jettisoned for a paint-by-numbers zombie/apocalypse/action film.

True, but you get to see the office building where my wife works, and the university building where I studied psychology. Maybe that's not worth shelling out for tickets, popcorn and sodas, though...
