Discrimination is the ability to tell one thing from another thing. Discrimination is, in fact, a good thing. It stops you eating poisonous mushrooms along with good ones, it allows you to tell your own football team from the other football team on the pitch. It enables you to find Wally.daftbeaker wrote:Nick Griffin has stated that discrimination is a basic human right.
Fair enough. I can't stand fat cod-eyed Nazi wankers myself.
Unfair discrimination, on the other hand, is a bad thing. We have equalities legislation which protects nine characteristics: age; disability; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity; race; religion and belief; sex; and sexual orientation. If you judge that a man is better than a woman, or that an ethnically white person is superior to an ethnically African person, you have broken the law.
Never mind that you have 'discriminated against' someone: this is primarily a mathematical problem. Equality means being of the same value, if x=4 then x+2=6 just like 4+2=6. If you would let a heterosexual couple into your B&B, but you wouldn't let a homosexual couple into your B&B, you don't understand primary school arithmetic: you don't understand what equal means. You must treat both things as the same, or you are an idiot in both legal and arithmetical terms.
Nick Griffin cannot do primary school-level arithmetic. The man needs help. It is a recognised problem in the workforce, so would someone please refer him on to a decent adult education class?
Thank you.
