What's that supposed to mean?
I think it means that Roy has actually studied psychology (and other 'ologies') at a postgraduate level and so does not trust a subjective 'how do you feel' test to generate valid data. The plural of anecdote is not data and all that.
As much as I like to cast aspersions on psychologists making up data and claiming statistical significance from minimal data sets, that almost never happens these days. I'll stick to mocking the evolutionary psychologists
