perhaps Spirited away, or The Theif and The Cobler.

Any statistical increase in the usage of the

Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
I saw it at my grandmother's when I was really young, and it pretty much scarred my cousins and I for life. We were probably just too young to get it, but we found it so bizarre that it was terrifying.

I will happily go on record and say that two of my favourite films of all time are "Spirited Away" and "Tortoro My Neighbour". There is more magic in those films than a million Lion Kings or Peter Pans.
Disney could really learn something from them.
As for strange.... Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me.
But I still liked it.

I have always been a huge fan of B-movies.
Killer Clowns From Outer Space, Revenge Of The Killer Tomatos, anything Russ Meyers did, etc.
But The strangest movie I have ever seen has got to be "Cannibal! The Musical" It is a pjoject done by Matt Stone and Trey Parker of South Park fame.
They did a musical loosly based on actual events during the gold rush days as a art school project.

...that was such an odd movie. I'll have to watch it again, as I totally forget the plot... they moved somewhere new... and met totoro...
