It's pretty neat. In other news I've finished reading The Complete Lyonesse by Jack Vance. I seriously recommend y...

Game of Thrones.

I haven't read the books the series is based on, but it has some really solid acting, and a storyline that'll have you hooked to each episode.

Always go for the instantaneous Renegade options in cut scenes, they're far more entertaining.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I just read a novel called Inverted World by Christopher Priest. It does exactly waht it says on the tin, and blew my mind on several occassions!

Re: The Video Games Thread

Anyone played ... Amnesia: The Dark Descent ...? Apart from playing an Englishman it was pretty good. I particularly liked the multiple endings, though I'm not sure its deserving of some of the hype it has been getting. Nothing wrong with playing an Englishman! It makes the game that bit more quain...

Re: What are you reading right now?

Just finished Dune Messiah, the sequel to Dune by Frank Herbert. Not as good as the first of course, but still magnificently written.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I've read a few of late, first being Roadside Picnic by the Strugatsky's. A bit short but really easy to get caught in, a great work of science fiction. The other is I Am Legend. I'm sure we're all familiar with that one! Reading it did help me understand how the film got bad reviews though, the fil...

Re: The Video Games Thread

Anyone ever played S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl? A goldmine of game play for sure, although it's less in depth than a Bethesda/Bioware game.
